CYBER GROUP STUDIOS DOUBLES INTERNATIONAL SALES ON A YEARLY BASIS

Paris, October 21st. At the end of its most successful MIPCOM ever, Paris-based animation producer and distributor Cyber Group Studios reports a doubling
of its international sales since last October with its hit series ZOU, MADEMOISELLE ZAZIE, TATONKA and CLOUD BREAD and major new international package sales.

 

ZOU’s (104×11’) success has kept rising with its entry on the US market with PBS/ Sprout on September 2nd 2013 while VME TV – the Spanish-speaking public television – has just bought the series for the US Hispanic market. A deal has also just been inked with Rai for Italy, and Netminds for the DVD release in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay and Paraguay. The series, coproduced by Cyber Group Studios and Scrawl studios, has been sold in more than 150 territories and broadcasted in 24 different languages throughout the world.

The growing list of channels broadcasting ‘Zou’ was complemented these past three months by Super RTL (Germany), RSI (Switzerland), CFI for Africa, TV5 Worldwide, IRIB (Iran), RTV Slovenja, ETV Estonia, Lepl Public Broadcaster (Georgia) and Multirio (Brazil), as well several broadcasters from Asia, such as POD Worldwide (Thailand), Mediacorp (Singapore), PT Metropolitan (Indonesia) and Zee Learn Limited (India). Delighted with an exceedingly good performance of ‘Zou’, Tele-Quebec (Canada), France TV also prebought the second season of ‘Zou’ at MIPCOM.

MADEMOISELLE ZAZIE (78×7’) co-produced by Cyber Group Studios and Scrawl for France Televisions, has just been picked up broadcasters such as Disney (Italy), VRT (Belgium), TV2 (Norway), Ceska Televize (Czech Republic), Canal Panda (Portugal), MTVA (Hungary), POD (Thailand), Lepl Public Broadcaster (Georgia), E-Vision (UAE), Kurdmax TV (Northern Iraq) and Air France. The series, very contemporary and fully packed with comedy, was launched on France 5 end of August and has just made its international debut at MIPCOM 2013.

TALES OF TATONKA (52×13’) produced by Cyber Group Studios for Tiji in France and Rai in Italy, keeps reaping success. The show telling the adventures of four wolf cubs and their best friends in the plains and forests of North America, has already been sold to more than 70 broadcasters including Discovery Asia, Al Jazeera, Channel One in Russia. The series has just been acquired by SVT (Sweden), Television de Galicia (Spain), TRT (Turkey), Play Media (Bulgaria), Lepl Public Broadcaster (Georgia), Ceska Televize (Czech Republic), SBS (Australia), Incomsa (Colombia), Air France, and YLE (Finland) and RSI (Switzerland) for the additional episodes.

CLOUD BREAD 2 (78×7’), the first 3D stereoscopic series for preschoolers, produced by GIMC, Carloon and DPS. The series, which combines stories full of warmth and strong values has just been acquired by Canal + in France, as well as YLE (Finland), Ceska Televize (Czech Republic), IRIB (Iran), TG4 (Ireland), Television de Galicia (Spain), E-Vision (UAE).

MIA (39×11’), a preschool series coproduced by Sardine Productions, Spacetoon, and Cyber Group Studios, starts to trigger sales as well. Inquisitive, daring and fearless little mouse Mia is set for a launch in 2014 on Tiji (France), Radio Canada, and Spacetoon (Middle East, Malaysia, Indonesia) and has already been prebought by VRT (Belgium),TV2 (Norway) and Pro Plus (Slovenia).

Cyber Group Studios also concluded a number of package deals with such broadcasters as Kurdmax TV in Northern Iraq, Juita Viden in Vietnam, Lepl Public Broadcaster in Georgia, MTVA in Hungary, P.& P. PERMISSIONS & RIGHTS Ltd in Serbia, Play Media in Bulgaria, POP TV in Slovenia and RTV in Slovenia, including array of series from its catalogue: Zou, Mia, Tale of Tatonka, Nina Patalo, Animalia, Grenadine and Peppermint, Raju the Rickshaw, Manon, Ozie Boo, Ozie Boo Save the Planet, Patch Pillows.
