Cyber group studios sews-up clan tv deal

Paris, February 6th 2014. Paris-based Cyber Group Studios has inked new broadcast deals with RTVE’s Clan for two flagship kids series: Zorro The Chronicles and Mini Ninjas.

“Zorro the Chronicles” (26×22’), a CG-animated series for kids and family, is produced by Cyber Group Studios in collaboration with Blue Spirit Studios for France Télévisions and RAI. This French originated production designed and animated with top French talent offers a new incarnation to the most internationally famous hero of all times, and is set to be fully delivered before summer 2015.

“Mini Ninjas” (52×11’), based on the best-selling video game and app distributed internationally by Square Enix, is coproduced by TF1 Production, Cyber Group Studios and Enanimation for TF1 in France and Rai in Italy(*). This action comedy series, aimed at 6-11 kids, follows the adventures of a new and cool generation of Ninjas and is set to be delivered at the end of 2014.

Commenting on the acquisition, Fernando Hernandez, Acquisitions Executive at RTVE said: “Zorro and Mini-Ninjas are first class addition to Clan TV, delivering exciting and modern content of the highest quality on-air. We look forward to enjoying the same success that these series will achieve in other territories around the world.”

Carole Brin, VP International Sales and Acquisitions of Cyber Group Studios adds : “Clan, Spain’s leading Free TV channel, is definitely the right home for fast-paced and iconic series such as Zorro and Mini Ninjas. This will give an excellent exposure to the Spanish kids viewers, and we are also very confident that this will reinforce the already strong merchandising potential of both brands.”

This deal with RTVE follows a landmark year for Cyber Group Studios after it tripled its international sales revenue in 2013 by closing deals with national channels such as Sprout in the US, Super RTL in Germany, France TV in France, Rai in Italy, or kids dedicated networks such as The Walt Disney Company, Cartoon Network, etc.
